PITTSBURGH -- Mike Katz has announced his resignation as president of the North Hills Soccer Club. Mike joined the NHSC Board 10 year ago, taking on multiple roles throughout the years, and we thank him for his time and dedication to the club.

"I am proud of how the club has grown and developed over the years and expect great things for NHSC in the years to come,” Mike said in an email announcing his resignation to board members. “I thank you all for the support and guidance all of you have offered during my time as president of the NHSC. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate the energy, interest and effort all of you have brought to the board."

Mike’s resignation will be effective no later than June 1, 2020. We hope to elect a new president by March 1, 2020 in accordance with the club's by-laws.

Mike also resigned as U9/U10 commissioner effective immediately and Stefan Heidinger has assumed that role.

Anyone who is interested in taking over as president of the NHSC should email [email protected] no later than Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020. Should multiple people be interested in the role, a special presidential election will be conducted.

The North Hills Soccer Club and its board of directors wish Mike all the best in future endeavors and thanks him for all he has done to better the NHSC and soccer for the children of North Hills!
