Mike Sapsara named new North Hills Soccer Club president

PITTSBURGH -- The North Hills Soccer Club is excited to introduce Mike Sapsara as its new club president. Mike replaces Mike Katz who served as president since 2018.

Mr. Sapsara joined the North Hills Soccer Club Board of Directors as Director of Player Development in 2017.

He has more than 25 years of coaching experiences and his U.S. Soccer Federation "B" License, NSCAA National Coaching License and NSCAA National Coaching License Advanced.

"I'm excited to share my years of coaching experience and passion for the game with the players and families of NHSC,” Sapsara said. “I look forward to continuing the positive momentum that our volunteers have built over the past few years, especially our current and past board members."

Mike and his wife Jessica, who serves as NHSC’s registrar and U8 commissioner, are familiar faces to many in the club. They have been instrumental in the organization and development of our U6 and U8 divisions, and player evaluations over the last several seasons, and their boys, Brennan, age 7, and Noah, age 6, have played in the club since age 4.

It’s unlikely Mike is going anywhere any time soon, but when he does, he hopes to leave a legacy.

"I hope that when my days with the club have ended, the long term sustainability of the club is concrete. I hope to develop resources and relationships that will benefit the club both financially and operationally for years to come,” he said, adding, “At the end of the day, we all want to see our children out on the pitch enjoying this beautiful game!"

Mike can be reached at [email protected].

Leah Mohring replaces Mike as the Director of Player Development.
