Our Board of Directors manage the organization, the activities, the schedules, rules and all of the athletes that participate in our league. The Executive Board Members are elected to their positions by the members of the North Hills Soccer Club. The Operations and Administration Board Member positions are filled by appointment by the Board of Directors. In depth descriptions of each position can be found at the bottom of this page.
Board Vacancies
Any vacancies on the Board are filled by appointment by the remaining Board Members until the position comes up for election.
Executive Board Members
President
The President is the chief executive officer of the North Hills Soccer Club. The President directs the activities of the club and presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors. The President is also responsible for appointing members to any committees which may be required for the operation of the club. The President makes an annual report on the activities of the club at the annual meeting of the membership. The President is also responsible for signing all written contracts, obligations or instruments of the club.
Vice President
In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall perform all of the President’s duties. If the office of President becomes vacant, the Vice President holds the office of President until a new President is elected.
Secretary
The Secretary is the North Hills Soccer Club’s recorder. The Treasurer is responsible for countersigning all documents or instruments executed by the club. The Secretary also issues all notices required and keeps all of the NHSC Board’s meeting minutes.
Treasurer
The Treasurer is the custodian of all of the North Hills Soccer Club's funds. The Treasurer issues all checks on the club’s behalf for the signature of the necessary board members. The Treasurer is also responsible for submitting a complete accounting of the collection and use of the club's funds at the annual meeting of the membership.
Registrar
The Registrar is responsible for the club’s registration of soccer players. The Registrar keeps a complete record of all of the teams and players for the purpose of player registration, team affiliation and voting and fee assessment. The Registrar is also responsible for all travel permits and registrations required with PA West.
Operations
Commissioners
Commissioners are approved by the Board of Directors. Commissioners for U6, U8 and U9/10 are responsible for the selection of coaches, team make-up, schedules, settling of minor disputes and all technicalities of running that age group’s teams and games. Commissioners for the U11 to U18 players are responsible for providing the registrar with all registrations and obtaining all information for player passes. Commissioners work with the Director of Player Development to set up try-outs and/or evaluations as needed.
Administration
Director of Coaching Development
The Director of Coaching Development is responsible for designing and implementing a coaching and development plan for the regular fall and spring seasons and coordinating training sessions during the winter and summer. The plan must be submitted to the NHSC Board for approval.
Director of Communications
The Director of Communications is responsible for the implementation of the appropriate processes, procedures and guidelines resulting in timely, accurate and professional communications to all NHSC members with the overall goal being to increase membership, participation and improve the overall enjoyment for the participant while making participation from a parent perspective as easy as possible. In addition, the Director of Communications has the responsibility of supporting all Board members in drafting and/or reviewing club-wide communications for all major events, both planned and unplanned. Forms of communication include but are not limited to email, social media and website.
Director of Player Development
The Director of Player Development is responsible for designing and implementing a player development plan. The plan should encompass the regular fall and spring seasons as well as the club's winter and summer skills programs. The plan must be submitted to the NHSC Board for approval.
Fundraising Coordinator
The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising fundraising efforts on behalf of the North Hills Soccer Club.
Referee Coordinator
The Referee Coordinator is responsible for the procurement and oversight of referees for home games at Reis Run for all divisions and the scheduling of referee courses.
Uniform Coordinator
The Uniform Coordinator is responsible for obtaining the orders for uniforms from the commissioners, ordering uniforms and distributing them to the commissioners upon their arrival.
Web and Social Media Manager
The Web and Social Manager is responsible for maintaining content on the club’s website and social media sites.
